Rewritten Title: Strategic Fuel Expansion: Iran Announces Rollout of Imported Super Gasoline
Article:
Planned Rollout in Major Cities
In a significant development for Iran’s fuel distribution network, officials have confirmed the imminent introduction of imported “Super Gasoline” at select stations. Reza Navaz, spokesperson for fuel stations, emphasized that the distribution will commence with a limited number of stations in Tehran and other major metropolitan areas. He confirmed that there is already significant demand from station operators in these cities to distribute the new product.
A Distinctive and Regulated Product
The rollout follows decisions made by the Policy-Making Council, which has mandated that the imported Super Gasoline will be offered at service platforms with specific, enhanced features. To clearly distinguish it from domestically produced fuels, the Council has officially designated the color of this new product as blue. While some media reports had suggested a broader rollout over the coming weeks, verification confirms that the initial distribution will begin next week.
Pricing Structure and Future Adjustments
Regarding the final price for consumers, Navaz stated that deliberations are nearing completion. The final price will be determined by adding several costs to the base supply price from the energy exchange. These include value-added tax, purchase commission, transportation fees, station commission, and a service value-added tax. Officials have noted that the price remains subject to future market adjustments and could see increases or decreases based on economic conditions.
Quality Assurance and Supply Stability
Navaz provided assurances of rigorous oversight, stating that daily quantitative and qualitative monitoring is conducted through a specified mechanism. This process involves the distribution companies, the National Standard Organization, and the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company, ensuring the product meets stringent quality standards. He further clarified that the sale of this new imported gasoline will not cause any changes or disruptions to the existing quota system for domestically produced gasoline supplied through fuel cards.
