Headline: Housing Development Initiative Expands in Bam County with Increased Construction Loans
In a significant move to support rural development and urban renewal, the Housing Foundation of Bam County has announced a substantial increase in the ceiling for housing construction and renovation loans.
Boosting Housing in Underserved Communities
Mr. Mohammad Sadegh Pakzad, Manager of the Bam Housing Foundation, confirmed that the loan amount, which was 350 million tomans last year, has seen a notable increase to 400 million tomans this year. This initiative is designed to facilitate the renovation and construction of housing in rural areas and small towns with populations under 25,000. The program promises more resilient homes and a brighter future for thousands of families across Bam County, including the towns of Baravat and Dehbakri, and their surrounding central villages.
Eligible applicants are encouraged to apply directly through the Bam County Housing Foundation, revitalizing hopes for homeownership and secure housing.
A Holistic Approach to Community Development
This project represents more than just a construction loan; it is a concerted effort to strengthen the foundations of life in areas that require greater developmental focus. Mr. Pakzad emphasized the loan’s role in improving quality of life and enhancing the safety of structures.
“Our goal is not merely to build houses, but to elevate the welfare and comfort of families in rural and small-town environments,” Pakzad stated. “With these facilities, we can move towards homes that are more resistant to natural disasters and that offer better living standards.”
He noted that of the 300 loans allocated for the year, 150 have already been processed and forwarded to partner banks in recent days. This rapid uptake highlights significant public interest and efficient administrative processing, underscoring the critical need for governmental support in providing secure, standard housing. The program’s scope, which also includes the towns of Baravat and Dehbakri, signals a major positive transformation for the entire region.
Banking Cooperation: A Key to Success
Mr. Pakzad extended his appreciation for the unwavering cooperation of selected bank branches within the county. This synergistic relationship between the Housing Foundation and the banking system plays a vital role in accelerating the loan disbursement process and ensuring easier access to necessary funds for applicants.
“Without the partnership of the banks, implementing a project of this scale and speed would not be possible. We are grateful to all the bank branches that have collaborated with us on this path,” Pakzad said. His comments underscore the importance of coordination between state institutions and the banking sector in achieving developmental goals and public service.
With half of this year’s allocation already absorbed, it is projected that the full quota of 300 loans will be met shortly. Should demand exceed supply, a request for an increased quota in subsequent years will be considered to ensure no eligible applicant misses this opportunity. Beyond improving housing stock, this initiative is also expected to provide a modest boost to the local economy by generating employment opportunities in the construction sector, bringing renewed hope for safe and suitable shelter to families across the region.
