Title: Government Announces Significant Increase in Annual Bonus for Employees and Retirees
In a move set to provide substantial financial support, the Iranian government has officially set the annual bonus, known as “Eidi,” for the current year, with figures showing a notable increase compared to the previous year.
Substantial Bonus Increase Announced
According to reports, the minimum bonus for employees covered by the Labor Law has been set at 20 million tomans, with a maximum of 31 million tomans. All companies and employers are mandated to adhere to these new minimum and maximum limits. The process of disbursing these bonuses began in the month of Bahman and is scheduled to continue until mid-Esfand.
This year’s figures represent a significant uplift. For comparison, last year’s minimum bonus was 14 million and 323 thousand tomans, with a maximum of 21 million and 485 thousand tomans. This indicates an increase of approximately 7 million tomans for the minimum and nearly 10 million tomans for the maximum bonus amount.
Payment Schedule Confirmed
The Council of Ministers is set to determine the exact bonus amount for state employees and retirees this month. It has been confirmed that these payments are scheduled to be deposited into accounts by the first half of Esfand, ensuring the funds are received in a timely manner. This structured payment schedule underscores the government’s commitment to fulfilling its social obligations.
