Title: National Weather Shift: Stable Air Mass to Bring Industrial Haze, Followed by Western Front
A stable air mass is set to dominate the weather pattern across most of Iran, leading to increased atmospheric pollutants in major industrial and populous urban centers, according to an official forecast.
Atmospheric Stability and Urban Air Quality
Sadegh Ziaeian, Head of the National Center for Weather Forecasting and Crisis Management, stated that based on synoptic maps, stable atmospheric conditions are expected from Tuesday to Friday. This weather pattern is predicted to cause a significant accumulation of airborne pollutants in the country’s industrial and densely populated cities.
Incoming Weather System for Western Provinces
A shift is anticipated at the start of the upcoming week. Ziaeian indicated that on Saturday and Sunday, parts of the northwest, west, and southwest provinces will experience a change, with increased cloud cover, temporary strong winds, occasional dust, and in some hours, showers and thunderstorms.
Forecast for the Capital and National Temperature Extremes
Regarding the meteorological outlook for Tehran, the official forecast suggests clear to partly cloudy skies with local dust and occasional mild winds for the coming days.
On a national scale, Bandar Abbas is predicted to be the warmest provincial capital with a high of 37°C, while Shahrekord is forecast to be the coldest, with lows reaching -8°C. The minimum temperature in five provincial centers, including Bojnourd, Birjand, Sanandaj, Shahrekord, Kerman, and Hamadan, is expected to be at or below zero degrees Celsius.
