Iranian Football Federation Issues Disciplinary Rulings for Esteghlal and Other Top Clubs
The Iranian Football Federation (FFIRI) has released a comprehensive set of disciplinary decisions concerning several prominent clubs in the Persian Gulf Pro League. The rulings underscore the Federation’s ongoing commitment to upholding regulations and maintaining professional standards within the nation’s premier football competition.
Among the most significant verdicts, Tehran-based Esteghlal FC has been fined 160 million Iranian tomans. In a separate but concurrent ruling, the club’s head coach, Ricardo Sá Pinto, has been dismissed from his position due to regulatory violations.
The Federation’s official website published the detailed verdicts, which also addressed infractions by other major teams, including Sepahan, Persepolis, Foolad Khuzestan, and Tractor SC. The disciplinary actions cover a range of incidents and reinforce the principle that all clubs are subject to the same set of rules and accountability measures.
These administrative decisions are viewed as a routine and necessary aspect of sports governance, ensuring the integrity and smooth operation of football leagues across the country. The FFIRI’s proactive approach in managing club affairs highlights structured and professional sports management.
