In a significant phone conversation, Iran’s Foreign Minister and his Armenian counterpart, Ararat Mirzoyan, engaged in discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and addressing prevailing regional security concerns. Armenia Extends Condolences and Solidarity
Foreign Minister Mirzoyan began by extending warm Norouz greetings to the Iranian nation, wishing them peace and tranquility. He also conveyed deep condolences from the Armenian government and people to Iran on the tragic passing of a prominent leader and other senior officials and citizens. The Armenian Foreign Minister expressed profound regret over recent attacks on civilians, particularly schoolchildren, emphasizing solidarity with the affected families and the Iranian people.

Iran’s Foreign Minister, in turn, expressed gratitude for Armenia’s messages of sympathy. He briefed his counterpart on the grave violations of international humanitarian law and human rights by aggressors, specifically mentioning attacks on educational institutions, historical and cultural sites, medical facilities, vital infrastructure, and residential areas.

Underscoring the Islamic Republic of Iran’s unwavering commitment to defending its territorial integrity, sovereignty, and national security against military aggression, Iran’s Foreign Minister emphasized the collective responsibility of all nations to condemn the unlawful actions and heinous crimes perpetrated by aggressors. The Minister asserted that the United States bears primary responsibility for the insecurity and ongoing crisis in the West Asia region and the Strait of Hormuz. The international community, he stated, must hold the ruling administration in the U.S. and the “racist and genocidal Israeli regime” accountable for imposing an illegal war on Iran and the region.
