Tehran Rejects Reports of Missile Activity Amidst Truce
No Military Action During Ceasefire, IRGC States
Tehran has categorically denied any involvement in missile or drone launches targeting facilities in the southern Persian Gulf region during the ongoing truce period. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a statement clarifying that Iran’s armed forces have conducted no such operations.
Official Clarification on Military Posture
A communiqué from the Public Relations Department of the IRGC, designated as Statement No. 57, addressed recent media reports circulating about alleged drone and missile strikes. The statement emphatically declared, “The armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran have absolutely had no launches towards any country during the ceasefire hours up to this moment.”
Attributing Unconfirmed Reports
The IRGC’s statement suggested that if the published media reports were to hold any truth, the responsibility would lie with “the Zionist enemy or America.” This highlights Iran’s stance on attributing such actions to external adversaries.
Transparency in Military Operations
The communiqué further emphasized Iran’s commitment to transparency regarding its military activities. It stated, “The armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, if they were to strike any target, will declare it with full courage in an official statement. Any action that is not included in the declared statements of the Islamic Republic of Iran is not related to us.” This reinforces the government’s position that any legitimate military action would be officially acknowledged.
