ESFAHAN – A defender of the Iranian homeland, Mohammad Saghafi, who was severely wounded during the 12-Day War, has ascended to martyrdom. The news was confirmed by the commander of the IRGC Basij resistance district in Shahreza.

Commander Ali Bakhshi stated that Guardsman Mohammad Saghafi had been in a coma since sustaining critical injuries during the conflict, which was initiated by the Zionist regime’s aggression against Iranian soil. After a prolonged period of medical care, he attained the high status of martyrdom.
This event brings the number of martyrs from the Shahreza county who bravely defended the nation during the 12-Day War to several. The commander noted that the details of the funeral and burial ceremonies for Martyr Saghafi will be announced to the public shortly.
