Escalation in West Asia: Regional Players Engage in Strikes Amidst Rising Tensions
Tehran, Iran – A significant escalation of retaliatory actions has been reported across West Asia, involving coordinated strikes by regional forces targeting strategic locations attributed to adversarial actors. The ongoing situation, described by Iranian officials as a response to “aggressive military actions,” has seen an increase in missile and drone operations, with both sides reporting damage to infrastructure and military assets.
Iran’s Retaliatory Strikes Target Key Bases
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced the commencement of “Wave 91 of the mighty missile attacks” as part of “Operation True Promise 4,” which they stated targeted the hearts of Tel Aviv and Haifa. According to the IRGC, these strikes have prompted millions to seek shelter. Concurrently, forces from Yemen have reportedly initiated attacks towards southern areas and Dimona.
Iranian Army Strikes US Military Installations in Jordan
In a separate development, the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran issued its 52nd communiqué, detailing drone strikes against the advanced fighter jet deployment area of the U.S. terrorist army at Al-Azraq airbase in Jordan. The communiqué identified Al-Azraq as a critical strategic and command center for encroaching U.S. forces in West Asia, playing a key role in guiding advanced aircraft and operating espionage and attack drones against resistance fronts and the Islamic Republic. The strikes, it stated, were aimed at degrading the enemy’s aerial combat capabilities. The Iranian Army reaffirmed its commitment to defending Iran and avenging the blood of its martyrs, pledging to make the enemy regret its actions.
Damage Reported at Pasteur Institute and Infrastructure Sites
Officials from the Pasteur Institute of Iran reported damage to various sections of the institute, including malaria research, the cell bank, clinical research, biotechnology, and supporting offices such as information technology and technical engineering. Additionally, the Alborz Provincial Governorship announced that the B1 bridge in Karaj, described as an engineering masterpiece, was targeted. This critical infrastructure project, nearing completion, has sustained damage, prompting warnings for citizens to avoid the area.
Drone Interceptions and Attacks on Economic Interests
The Iranian Army also reported the successful downing of an enemy “Orbiter” drone by air defense systems in the northwest of the country. This incident brings the total number of enemy drones neutralized by Iran’s integrated air defense network to 155.
Furthermore, the IRGC’s Aerospace and Navy forces reportedly conducted a joint missile and drone operation, “Wave 90 of Operation True Promise 4,” targeting U.S. industries in the region. These strikes, described as a response to attacks on Iranian industries, reportedly hit U.S. Steel facilities in Abu Dhabi, the American Aluminum Industries in Bahrain, and Rafael armament industries, as well as U.S. Army bases near Manama. The IRGC stated that dozens of U.S. personnel were killed or injured and issued a stern warning that any repetition of attacks on Iranian industries would result in more painful responses targeting the core infrastructure and economic interests of the occupying regime and the U.S. in the region.
Civilian Areas Reportedly Targeted
Reports indicate that areas in Kabudarahang, Hamadan province, were attacked by hostile American and Zionist forces, though no casualties were reported. In Qom, two locations outside the city limits in the western sector were reportedly struck by enemy projectiles, with no reports of casualties. In Hormozgan province, the Qeshm Island and Bandar Charak fishing ports were targeted by American and Zionist aircraft, resulting in five injuries.
Regional Resistance Joins Operations
Sources in the occupied territories reported missile attacks from Iran and Hezbollah, triggering air raid sirens in Haifa and surrounding areas. The Islamic Resistance reportedly targeted Israeli army gatherings in settlements like Yaron, Malkiya, and Ir’oun with missiles. Additionally, a drone attack was carried out against the settlement of Elon Moreh as a warning to settlements in northern occupied Palestine.
Residential Damage in Tehran
The spokesperson for the Mayor of Tehran stated that 33,000 residential units in the capital have been damaged as a result of the ongoing conflict initiated by the Zionist and American regimes.
