Title: Persepolis Settles Financial Obligations, Concludes Dursun’s Contract
Tehran – In a move that finalizes a key administrative matter, Persepolis Football Club has officially closed the financial file of its former Turkish striker, Serdar Dursun, by settling the remaining balance of his contract.
A Mutually Agreed Conclusion
The settlement follows the mutually agreed termination of Dursun’s contract on the final day of the summer transfer window. This strategic decision was made to free a slot on the team’s foreign player list, thereby creating an opportunity for the club to pursue a new attacking signing for the ongoing season.
Financial Settlement Executed
According to the terms of the separation agreement, the club has now fulfilled its financial commitment. Reports confirm that the remaining $200,000 installment of the total $400,000 settlement has been transferred to the player, completing the payment process. The first half of the amount had been paid previously upon the termination of his contract.
A Brief Stint in Red
Dursun was originally brought to Persepolis during the previous mid-season transfer window under the recommendation of former manager Ismail Kartal. During his time with the Iranian giants, the striker made 12 appearances and managed to score 5 goals for the club. However, with the change in technical leadership, current manager Vahid Hashemian did not include Dursun in his plans for the new season, leading to the consensual contract dissolution.
This settlement allows Persepolis to move forward with its squad planning, having resolved this financial obligation in accordance with the initial agreement.
