Title: Government Inspector Sets Deadline to Finalize Retirees’ Supplemental Insurance
In a significant development concerning social welfare, a top government inspector has issued a directive to expedite the resolution of supplemental insurance coverage for retirees.
Urgent Directive to Social Security Organization
Ahmad Ali Mohammadi, the Inspector General of the Ministry of Cooperation, Labour, and Social Welfare, has formally addressed the Managing Director of the Social Security Organization. In his communication, he emphasized the critical need to swiftly determine the status of the supplemental insurance contract for retirees, underscoring its importance for their well-being.
Contract Lapse with Insurer
The directive highlights that the previous supplemental insurance contract for Social Security retirees with the Ayandeh Sazan Hafez insurance company has concluded. Inspector Ali Mohammadi pointed out that the failure to renew this agreement has resulted in retirees losing access to essential supplemental insurance services.
Call for Prompt Action and Collaboration
The Inspector General characterized the situation as indicative of a need for more timely planning to address the renewal process and secure the healthcare needs of retirees. To resolve the matter, a 24-hour deadline has been set for the Social Security Organization’s Managing Director. The directive mandates that all necessary actions be taken in full compliance with relevant laws and regulations and in coordination with the Social Security Retirees’ Association. Furthermore, the outcomes of these measures must be reported to the country’s General Inspection Organization without delay.
