Title: October Subsidy Schedule and Payment Amounts Officially Announced
Introduction
The Iranian Ministry of Welfare has officially detailed the payment schedule and exact amounts for the national cash subsidy for the current month. This announcement clarifies the disbursement plan for citizens, ensuring transparency regarding the state-sponsored financial support.
Cash Subsidy Payments for October
According to the official schedule, cash subsidies for the current month will be deposited in two separate batches. The payments are structured to provide support based on household income deciles, a system designed to prioritize assistance to those in greater need.
- For the first to third income deciles: A payment of 400,000 Tomans per individual.
- For the fourth to ninth income deciles: A payment of 300,000 Tomans per individual.
The Ministry has confirmed that these funds will be transferred to the accounts of household heads on the 25th and 30th of the month.
Continuation of the Commodity Coupon Scheme
This announcement pertains solely to the direct cash subsidy. The government’s Commodity Coupon Scheme, which provides dedicated credit for the purchase of essential goods, was executed in two phases during the previous month. This scheme allocated credits specifically for items such as rice, oil, red meat and poultry, dairy products, pasta, legumes, eggs, sugar, and recently, turkey meat.
A Shift from Last Month’s Combined Support
The payment structure for this month represents a shift from the previous month’s approach. In the prior month, lower-income deciles received a combination of both the cash subsidy and the commodity coupon credit, bringing their total support to approximately 900,000 Tomans. For the current cycle, the support consists exclusively of the standardized cash subsidy payment, with no new phase of the commodity coupon scheme being initiated. This streamlined approach is part of the government’s ongoing social support framework.
