Tehran Municipality Announces Enhanced Financial Support Packages for Families
In a significant move to support families and encourage population growth, Tehran Municipality has unveiled substantial enhancements to its financial welfare programs for employees.
Key Increases in Support Measures
Mr. Meysam Hosseingholizadeh, Director General of Welfare, Cooperation, and Social Services of Tehran Municipality, detailed the new measures. He stated that a core priority for his administration has consistently been the increase of welfare benefits for personnel.
A major announcement is a 100% increase in the low-interest loan amounts specifically for the birth of a first and second child. Furthermore, employees in non-independent units can now benefit from a 200 million Tomans low-interest loan upon the birth of their third child. This figure represents a doubling of the previous amount allocated in past years. An identical credit of 200 million Tomans has also been designated for a fourth child.
Rapid Implementation of National Directives
Mr. Hosseingholizadeh emphasized that all allocated credits will be deposited into the accounts of eligible recipients in the shortest possible time. This swift action is in direct alignment with and in implementation of the directives of the Supreme Leader regarding the encouragement of population growth.
A Record of Proactive Implementation
The official also highlighted the municipality’s record of proactive support, noting the allocation of over 1,700 special loan facilities since the introduction of the “Khorsandsaz” package. He pointed out that while the “Law for the Protection of the Family and Youthful Population,” ratified by the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran in 1400 (2021-2022) to encourage childbearing and support families, has unfortunately not been complied with by many institutions, Tehran Municipality has been a pioneer in its full and committed execution.
