Iran’s Social Security Organization Announces Timely September Pension Disbursement and Back Pay Schedule
In a move to enhance financial coordination and streamline pension distributions, Iran’s Social Security Organization (SSO) has officially announced the detailed schedule for the disbursement of September pensions and the phased payment of accumulated back pay for millions of retirees and pensioners.
Key Dates for September Pension Payments
The SSO has confirmed that Social Security pensions for the month of Shahrivar (September) will be deposited into retirees’ accounts over three consecutive days: the 29th, 30th, and 31st of Shahrivar 1404. This structured approach is designed to better manage the high volume of transactions and improve coordination with the national banking network.
Specific disbursement dates have been allocated for different groups:
- Social Security Retirees: September 29-31
- State (Government) Retirees: September 30
- Military Retirees: September 31
The organization has emphasized that this scheduling is a logistical measure to ensure a smooth and efficient payment process for all beneficiaries.
Phased Payment of Accumulated Back Pay Underway
Concurrent with the regular pension schedule, the SSO is actively executing a major initiative to clear accumulated back pay. This back pay includes adjustments and annual salary increases owed to retirees since the beginning of the current Iranian year (Farvardin 1404).
The payment plan is being rolled out in three distinct phases to ensure orderly and prioritized distribution:
- Phase One: Already completed. This phase targeted retirees and disabled pensioners whose total monthly income is less than 20 million tomans. Their back pay was deposited on September 12-13.
- Phase Two: Scheduled to occur simultaneously with the September pension payment. This phase covers all survivor pensioners, including spouses and daughters of deceased retirees.
- Phase Three: Will commence immediately after the September pension disbursement. This final phase will cover all remaining retirees not included in the first two groups.
The SSO has projected that the entire process of settling these arrears will be completed by the end of the month of Shahrivar (September 22, 2024), fulfilling the organization’s commitment to its beneficiaries.
Commitment to Retiree Welfare and Support
The management of pension funds and the timely disbursement of benefits is a key priority for Iran’s social welfare system. The SSO has reiterated its dedication to supporting retirees who have contributed years of service to the nation.
To address any inquiries, the SSO’s 24/7 response system is available nationwide. Retirees and pensioners can contact the toll-free number 1420 from any mobile phone for assistance.
Furthermore, beneficiaries can easily access detailed information about their pension, calculated back pay amounts, and exact payment dates through the SSO’s official online portal at eservices.tamin.ir. This digital initiative provides transparency and allows retirees to track their payments conveniently.
