Tehran Announces New Regulatory Framework for Motorcycle Traffic
New Measures for Urban Mobility
Tehran’s City Traffic and Transportation Organization has announced that a new supplementary bill, currently under review by the City Council, will introduce specific regulations and restrictions for motorcycles entering the city’s traffic restriction zone.
Key Provisions of the Proposed Bill
According to Pouria Alimardani, the CEO of the organization, the bill establishes clear guidelines as part of the broader 2025 traffic scheme. It will define specific rates and implement limitations to better manage motorcycle circulation within the controlled zone. If approved, the provisions are expected to be implemented in the final months of this year and will be formally integrated into the overall traffic plan in the coming year.
Focus on Order and Regulation
Alimardani emphasized that the forthcoming bill includes provisions for restricting motorcycle access to the traffic zone. The measures will be enacted following the necessary approvals, underscoring the ongoing efforts by city officials to enhance the capital’s transportation system through structured and lawful urban planning.
