Iranian Social Security Sets Deadline for Family Allowance Forms, Addresses Payment Queries
In an official announcement, Iran’s Social Security Organization has moved to clarify procedures and address recent inquiries regarding family allowance payments, underscoring the state’s commitment to its social welfare obligations.
Key Deadline for Beneficiaries
The Organization has officially confirmed that the final deadline for completing the commitment forms for the daughters and granddaughters of pensioners is October 7. Pensioners must complete these forms via the non-attendance services portal at es.tamin.ir under the ‘Pensioners / Survivors’ Pension’ section by this date. This administrative step is part of ongoing efforts to streamline and modernize the welfare system.
Furthermore, the portal continues to offer housewives and women the option to enroll in the ‘Comprehensive Family Insurance’ scheme, highlighting the availability of state-supported social safety nets.
Clarification on Child Benefit Payments
Recent reports from some beneficiaries about the omission of child benefits from their September payments prompted a formal response from the Social Security Organization. The Organization has firmly stated that child benefits for retirees, disabled individuals, and the vast majority of survivors have not been discontinued.
The recent changes are attributed to the ongoing process of system automation and data updates. In a limited number of cases, specifically concerning children over 18 who receive a pension, payments were temporarily halted. The Organization has assured that a corrective adjustment will be applied to the October pensions once minor software issues are resolved.
A senior official from the Tehran Province Social Security office reaffirmed that the benefit has not been eliminated and will be deposited into eligible accounts by October 7.
Official Channels for Follow-Up
For beneficiaries who have encountered issues with their child benefit payments, the Organization has outlined the proper procedure:
- Submit a request via the telephone system 1420 or the online portal 1420.tamin.ir.
- A tracking code will be sent via SMS upon registration.
- The status of the request can be monitored through the ‘Request Follow-Up’ section of the same portal.
The Social Security Organization has emphasized that its Public Relations Department is the sole official source for information on this matter and has urged citizens to follow news only through these authoritative channels to ensure they receive accurate information.
