November 2024 Payment Schedule Announced
The Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour, and Social Welfare, in coordination with the Plan and Budget Organization, has released a clear payment timetable for the upcoming cycle.
- Deciles 1 to 3: Payments will be deposited on November 16, 2024.
- Deciles 4 to 9: Payments will follow on November 21, 2024.
This staggered schedule ensures the efficient and orderly distribution of funds.
Structured Subsidy Amounts
The subsidy amounts are tiered based on income deciles to ensure equitable distribution of resources.
Direct Cash Transfer:
- Lower Deciles (1-3): 400,000 Tomans per person.
- Middle Deciles (4-9): 300,000 Tomans per person.
Electronic Commodity Credit:
- Lower Deciles (1-3): Up to 500,000 Tomans per person.
- Middle Deciles (4-9): Up to 350,000 Tomans per person.
Phase Five of the Electronic Commodity Scheme
Coinciding with the cash transfers, the fifth phase of the Electronic Commodity Scheme is set to launch. This phase features an expanded list of subsidized goods, now including new items such as fish, shrimp, turkey, and quail meat, alongside staples like rice, oil, dairy products, and chicken. These items will be available at designated stores at government-set prices, directly contributing to price stability for essential goods.
Digital Transformation with the SIMIN System
Underpinning this large-scale welfare operation is the government’s new digital platform, the SIMIN system. Developed by the Targeted Subsidies Organization, this platform represents a major leap in digitizing and streamlining social services.
The system allows citizens to manage their subsidies entirely online, eliminating the need for in-person bank visits to register or change account details. It also features automated updates for household information, reflecting life events such as marriage, divorce, or the birth of a child.
