Iran’s Hormozgan Province Announces New Work Schedule for Government Offices
In a move to enhance administrative efficiency and resource management, the office of the Governor of Hormozgan Province has announced a new standardized work schedule for all government and public institutions.
A New Operational Timetable
Mohammad Reza Pakravan, the Deputy Governor for Management and Resource Development in Hormozgan, officially confirmed the change. The new directive, which has received the full approval of the provincial governor, sets the official work hours from 6:45 AM to 14:45 (2:45 PM). This schedule is effective from Saturday, the 3rd of Aban, 1404 (October 25, 2025), and will remain in place until further notice.
The new timetable applies to all executive bodies, public institutions (both state and non-governmental), municipalities, and insurance companies across the province.
Ensuring Continuity of Essential Services
Crucially, the announcement included provisions to ensure that essential public services remain uninterrupted. The Deputy Governor clarified that operational units of service-providing organizations will continue their duties as usual.
This exemption covers key sectors including executive and service departments of municipalities, healthcare centers, hospitals (excluding their administrative sections), emergency services, road rescue centers, law enforcement and military outposts, and institutions covered by Article 12 of the Customs Affairs Law. Shift workers and rotational duty personnel are also exempt from the new schedule.
Compensation and Banking Hours
To address the adjusted hours, Pakravan noted that any reduction in official work time will be compensated within the legal framework through remote work arrangements.
Separately, the specific working hours for bank branches across the province will be determined and announced by the Bank Coordination Council, ensuring a unified approach within the financial sector.
