Government Offices in Qom to Close for Energy Efficiency Initiative
Qom, Iran – August 20, 2025 – In a move aimed at optimizing energy consumption and supporting the stability of the province’s power grid, government offices, banks, non-governmental public institutions, insurance centers, and state-run and private educational facilities in Qom will remain closed on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
The announcement was made by Mortaza Rahman-Nia, Deputy for Management and Resource Development of Qom Governorate, who emphasized the importance of collective efforts in energy conservation.
Essential Services Remain Operational
While administrative offices will observe the closure, critical services—including hospitals, clinics, emergency services, fire departments, and other rescue organizations—will continue to operate without interruption to ensure public safety and welfare.
This initiative aligns with broader national efforts to promote sustainable energy use while maintaining uninterrupted access to vital services. Authorities have encouraged citizens to cooperate with the measure as part of their shared responsibility toward resource efficiency.
