IRGC Announces 71st Wave of ‘Operation True Promise 4,’ Targets Israeli and US Bases
IRGC Launches New Phase of ‘True Promise 4’
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced the initiation of the 71st wave of its “Operation True Promise 4,” characterizing it as a “lightning-fast and continuous operation” that struck targets within Israeli-held territories and US military installations. In an official statement released by its Public Relations department, the IRGC extended greetings for Eid al-Fitr and Nowruz to the Iranian nation, asserting that this latest offensive delivered a “first fiery slap” in the early hours of the new year.
Targets and Weaponry
According to the IRGC’s announcement, “Tel Aviv, in the heart of occupied Palestinian territories,” and various locations within “Rishon LeZion” were subjected to missile attacks. The statement specified the deployment of “super heavy and precision-guided Emad missiles,” alongside “heavy, multi-warhead Qadr missiles,” and “destructive drones” in these operations.
Beyond targets in Israeli-held territories, the IRGC also reported strikes against US military bases. Installations identified as “Ali Al Salem, Al Kharj, and Victoria” – which the IRGC described as bases belonging to the “American terrorist army” – were targeted for “the umpteenth time.” These actions, the IRGC stated, involved “attacking drones and heavy missiles” and form part of a larger “stage-by-stage attrition” strategy.
Strategic Intent and Political Messaging
The IRGC framed this operation, invoked with the call “Oh, Sahab al-Zaman (may Allah hasten his reappearance),” as a direct and immediate response following previous waves of attacks. It was directed against what the IRGC referred to as the “exhausted and desperate Zionist regime” and the “American terrorist army,” signaling a determined and evolving military campaign.
Evolving Tactics Amidst Conflict
The statement highlighted that IRGC intelligence and operational commanders have introduced “new offensive tactics and more modern systems” into the battlefield. This strategic shift, it explained, followed a thorough process of “monitoring, reviewing, and fully understanding the vulnerabilities of the enemies” observed during the initial three weeks of conflict. The IRGC concluded by asserting that these developments would make the “arena of war tighter and harder” for the adversary.
