Title: Persepolis Coach Awaits Final Clearance for Crucial Sideline Return
Tehran – The official sideline debut of Persepolis FC’s new Brazilian head coach, Ousmar Viera, has been delayed due to a procedural timeline, casting a spotlight on the team’s management ahead of a packed fixture list.
Administrative Hurdle Postpones Sideline Debut
Ousmar Viera’s arrival in Iran coincided closely with Persepolis’s recent crucial match against Tractor FC. This tight schedule prevented him from completing the mandatory medical examination at the Ifmark Medical Center last Wednesday. Consequently, the club was unable to initiate the official process for issuing his coaching license with the Iran Football League Organization before the team’s travel to Tabriz.
While Viera accompanied his team for the away fixture, league regulations explicitly barred him from assuming his position on the bench, as he did not possess the formally issued license.
Path to the Bench Clears
Despite the initial delay, the path for Coach Viera’s official assumption of duties is now clear. According to the established schedule, the Brazilian manager is set to undergo his required medical tests at the Ifmark Medical Center on Saturday morning.
Immediately following the successful completion of these tests, his contract will be formally registered with the League Organization. This will pave the way for his coaching license to be issued in time for Persepolis’s upcoming match against Esteghlal Khuzestan, allowing him to lead the team from the sideline for the first time officially.
