Title: Persepolis FC Navigates Coaching Search Following Managerial Departure
In the wake of Vahid Hashemian’s confirmed departure from Persepolis FC, the prominent Tehran-based football club is actively evaluating candidates for its next head coach. The search has become a focal point of discussion within the domestic sports community.
A Shifting List of Candidates
Following the news of Hashemian’s exit, several high-profile names were circulated as potential successors. The list of speculated candidates included figures such as Branko and Afshin Ghotbi. However, the field of potential appointees is clarifying as some individuals have publicly withdrawn from consideration.
Key Figures Remove Themselves from Contention
Branko previously announced he would not be joining Persepolis, stating his focus is exclusively on national team roles or stepping away from coaching altogether. Adding to this, Yahya Golmohammadi has now also firmly denied any contact from the club.
In a statement to ISNA, Golmohammadi, who is currently the head coach of Foolad FC, stated, “I deny the reports of contact from the Persepolis sports deputy. This matter is not true. I am the head coach of Foolad and am preparing my team for our upcoming match against Shams Azar.”
A Desire for Clarity
With key candidates ruling themselves out, the club’s management is expected to move deliberately to appoint a new head coach. Supporters and observers alike are hopeful for an official announcement in the near term to conclude this period of transition and speculation, allowing the team to focus on its future objectives.
