Pezeshkian’s Son Urges Dismissal of Resignation Rumors, Calls for National Unity
Youssef Pezeshkian, son and advisor to the President, has vehemently refuted recent rumors suggesting his father’s resignation. In a public statement, he underscored President Pezeshkian’s steadfast commitment to the nation and its people, simultaneously warning against sophisticated “media games” orchestrated by adversaries to sow division.
Addressing Resignation Claims
Utilizing his Telegram channel, Youssef Pezeshkian directly responded to inquiries about the alleged resignation of his father, stating, “Anyone familiar with Dr. Pezeshkian knows he is not one to concede. He dedicates all his strength to the country and its citizens. Do not heed the rumors.” He emphasized the President’s unwavering resolve to serve as long as he possesses the capability.
Warning Against Divisive Narratives
The presidential advisor pointed to the strategic origin of such speculation, attributing it to external forces. “The enemy is expert in designing media games,” he asserted, urging the public to remain vigilant against narratives intended to create instability and distraction.
Plea for National Cohesion
Beyond dispelling the rumors, Youssef Pezeshkian conveyed a broader message aligning with the national leadership’s call for unity. He stressed that internal harmony is paramount, especially during the current sensitive period. “Any discourse fostering internal division and fragmentation today serves to harm the country and benefit our adversaries,” he declared. He further cited the Supreme Leader’s initial message, which advised against focusing on internal points of contention, highlighting that “now is not the appropriate time for addressing matters of internal dispute. Now is the time for ‘loyalty and enduring blame’.” This reinforcement of the official position underscores the importance of national solidarity.
