President Pezeshkian Eulogizes Martyred SNSC Secretary Larijani, Vows Enduring Resistance
Tehran, Iran – President Masoud Pezeshkian of the Islamic Republic of Iran has issued a profound message of condolence and tribute following the martyrdom of Dr. Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC). Pezeshkian lauded Larijani as a distinguished and valuable figure, emphasizing his significant contributions to the nation and attributing his death to what he termed “American-Zionist criminals.” The President underscored Iran’s unwavering commitment to resistance and justice in the wake of this loss.
A Legacy of Dedication and Foresight
In his message, President Pezeshkian described Dr. Larijani as an individual who consistently demonstrated wisdom, sharp insight, benevolence, and foresight throughout his extensive career. “During his recent term of responsibility, I saw nothing but benevolence, sharp insight, goodwill, and foresight from him,” Pezeshkian stated. He highlighted Larijani’s significant service across cultural, political, and national security domains, including a long tenure in the Islamic Consultative Assembly and his recent role as SNSC Secretary.
Pezeshkian hailed Larijani as a prominent product of the schools of thought established by Imam Khomeini, the esteemed Imam Khamenei, and the great martyr Professor Motahari. He noted that Larijani’s martyrdom was the ultimate reward for years of sincere and courageous efforts in various fields.
Condemnation and Vow of Justice
The President unequivocally condemned the perpetrators, stating that Larijani’s blood was shed by “American-Zionist criminals” and “the most criminal regime in human history.” Pezeshkian conveyed a stern warning, affirming that “severe revenge awaits the terrorist criminals who have stained their wicked hands with the blood of the oppressed but brave and steadfast martyrs of Iran in recent terrorist aggressions.”
Unwavering Path of Resistance
Despite the profound loss, President Pezeshkian reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to its established principles of steadfastness. He emphasized that the “path of steadfastness and resistance, coupled with rationality and foresight, will undoubtedly continue in the absence of this dear brother, and ultimate victory awaits the great nation of Iran.” He added that while the loss of Larijani is bitter, “the steadfastness of the brave Iranian people and their achievement of ultimate victory will further embitter the Zionist criminals.”
Dr. Larijani, in his final role at the SNSC, was commended by Pezeshkian for his extensive efforts to promote peace and security in the region and to foster solidarity and brotherhood among Islamic countries. These endeavors, according to the President, established Larijani as an international figure in the realm of international security and resistance, making him a target of the “terrorist Zionist regime’s animosity.”
National Mourning and Message to the Leadership
President Pezeshkian extended his condolences and congratulations on Larijani’s martyrdom to Imam Mahdi (حضرت بقیةاللهالاعظم), the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Dr. Larijani’s esteemed family, and the great nation of Iran. His message began with the Quranic verse, “And do not think of those who are killed in the way of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision.”
