Khuzestan Implements Proactive Power Management Plan Amid Rising Demand
In response to a significant increase in electricity consumption driven by high temperatures and the widespread use of cooling systems, the power grid in Khuzestan province is operating under critical conditions. To proactively manage the grid and prevent unplanned, widespread blackouts, the Khuzestan Electricity Distribution Company will implement a scheduled load management plan for Monday, September 15, 2025.
A Preventative Measure
The carefully structured plan is a preventative measure designed to ensure the stability of the provincial power grid. It will be enacted in several major cities, including Ahvaz, Abadan, Khorramshahr, and Dezful. Peak consumption is forecast to occur between 15:00 and 23:00 local time.
A Call for Public Cooperation
Authorities are calling on the conscientious citizens of Khuzestan to actively participate in this effort by managing their electricity usage, particularly during these peak hours. This collective cooperation is essential for the plan’s success and for maintaining a reliable power supply across the province.
