Kermanshah Announces Proactive Power Management Schedule for Friday
In a move to ensure national grid stability, the Kermanshah Provincial Electricity Distribution Company has issued a proactive advisory regarding potential scheduled power outages for Friday, August 22nd, 2025. This preventative measure is attributed to a significant anticipated increase in energy consumption, placing considerable strain on the power infrastructure.
The company emphasizes that these planned interruptions are a necessary strategy to maintain the overall health of the electrical grid and to prevent more widespread, unplanned blackouts.
Peak Hours and Consumer Cooperation
Based on technical analysis, peak consumption is forecasted to occur between the hours of 12:00 to 16:00 and 19:00 to 22:00. The company respectfully urges all citizens to actively participate in managing electricity consumption during these critical periods. This can be achieved by minimizing the use of high-demand appliances such as air conditioners, electric heaters, and washing machines.
Company management extended its gratitude to both household and industrial subscribers for their continued cooperation. It reiterated that voluntary reduction in usage during peak hours is the key to preventing network fluctuations. Detailed information, including the specific areas affected and precise outage timings, will be disseminated through the company’s official communication channels.
National Emphasis on Optimized Consumption and Infrastructure Development
The necessity for optimized electricity consumption to preserve grid stability was further underscored by the Minister of Energy, Abbas Aliabadi. His comments were made during the inauguration of major water and electricity projects in Razavi Khorasan Province, valued at over 17 trillion tomans, as part of the nationwide “Iran Abad” campaign.
Minister Aliabadi highlighted the government’s continuous efforts to build a more prosperous Iran. Addressing the specific power situation in Razavi Khorasan, he noted that while neighboring provinces are currently assisting with electricity supply, ongoing development of solar and thermal power plant projects is actively underway. This initiative aims to permanently resolve power outage issues in the region.
The Minister elaborated that various projects currently under execution are designed to meet local demand, with any surplus energy being directed to neighboring provinces. Conversely, in times of shortage, the region would be able to receive power from them.
Aliabadi firmly stated that the situation regarding power outages is expected to improve in the future, contingent upon maintaining a crucial balance between energy production and consumption across the country. This underscores a national commitment to enhancing the energy sector’s resilience and ensuring a stable supply for all citizens.
