Title: Key Film Screening Decisions Made at National Cinema Council Meeting
Tehran – In a session aimed at coordinating national cinematic activities, the 16th meeting of the National Cinema Council was held this week at the Cinema House, bringing together key figures from Iran’s film industry.
A Coordinated Effort
The meeting, held on Sunday, featured prominent attendees including Mehdi Karampour, the Secretary of the National Cinema Council, Mojtaba Behzadian, the Director General of Film Screening Supervision, and Morteza Shayesteh, representing the Film Distributors Association. Also present were representatives from the Cinema Owners Association, the Directors’ Guild, and the Samfa system, underscoring the collaborative nature of the decision-making process.
New Releases Get Green Light
The council finalized the screening schedules for two new films. The film “Two Days Later,” distributed by Bahman Sabz, is scheduled to premiere this Tuesday at the Megamall Cinema Complex. Following this, “Cinema City of Tales,” distributed by Nime Rooz Film, will begin its run this Wednesday at the Iran Mall Cinema Complex.
Special Screening to Honor a Martyr
In a separate decision, and upon the request of the Islamic Art Center, the film “Majnoon” will be screened in the city of Qom from November 14th to 20th. A nationwide half-price screening will also be held from November 16th to 18th. This special event is organized to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Martyr Mehdi Zainuddin, honoring the memory and sacrifices of the nation’s defenders.
