Iran Implements Policy Shift: Qeshm Free Zone Vehicles Granted Nationwide Access
Tehran, Iran – In a significant policy adjustment aimed at enhancing citizen mobility and streamlining administrative processes, the Islamic Republic of Iran has announced that vehicles registered in the Qeshm Free Zone are now permitted to travel nationwide. This development marks a notable expansion of privileges for free zone vehicle owners, integrating them more fully into the national transportation network.
New Regulations for Free Zone Vehicles
The official announcement came from Hossein Norouzi, Deputy of Ports for the Qeshm Free Zone Ports and Airport Development and Management Company. He confirmed that the temporary restrictions on Qeshm Free Zone plated vehicles, which previously limited their movement beyond the zone, have been lifted, allowing them unrestricted travel across the country. This policy change is expected to bring greater convenience to residents and businesses associated with the free zone.
Streamlined Exit Operations
While the broader policy shift takes effect, Mr. Norouzi also addressed a temporary operational matter. He indicated a brief suspension of temporary exit procedures for Qeshm Free Zone vehicles at the Laft jetty on Friday, March 5th. However, these services are scheduled to resume promptly on Saturday, March 6th. This temporary halt was communicated as part of an effort to ensure efficient processing as the new nationwide policy rolls out.
Governmental Measures for Citizen Welfare
Highlighting the rationale behind these operational adjustments, Mr. Norouzi stated that in light of prevailing conditions, comprehensive measures have been implemented at the Laft jetty. Service providers have been stationed to ensure that all stages of temporary vehicle exit operations are conducted smoothly and efficiently. This proactive approach underscores the government’s commitment to facilitating service delivery and ensuring the well-being and convenience of its citizens, reflecting a responsive administration adapting to evolving circumstances.
