Title: Bank Saderat Strengthens Social Welfare with Major Housing Deposit Loan Initiative
In a significant move to bolster national social welfare programs, Bank Saderat Iran has announced the disbursement of substantial financial support for housing, directly aiding thousands of citizens across the country. This initiative aligns with and actively supports the government and the Central Bank’s policies focused on social justice and public welfare.
Substantial Support for Tenants
During the first six months of the current Iranian year (1404), Bank Saderat allocated over 9,441 interest-free Qard-al-Hasanah loans for housing deposits. The total value of this financial support exceeded 16,690 billion Rials. This effort is a core part of the bank’s commitment to social responsibility and is designed to support needy segments of society, with a significant number of low-income tenants nationwide benefiting from these facilities.
Targeted Assistance for National Priorities
The allocation of these loans demonstrates a targeted approach to national policy objectives. A breakdown reveals that 2,122 of these housing deposit loans were distributed under special schemes. These include support for families with a third child or more, assistance for families under the coverage of the Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation and the State Welfare Organization, and loans issued in accordance with Article 69 of the Law for the Protection of the Family and Youthful Population. An additional 7,319 loans were allocated to eligible applicants as part of the National Housing Action Plan.
A Broader Commitment to Social Welfare
This housing initiative is part of a much larger portfolio of social support provided by Bank Saderat. In the first half of this year, the bank disbursed a total of over 100,000 interest-free and supportive loans, valued at 240,000 billion Rials. These facilities covered various essential areas, including marriage, childbearing, housing deposits, and home-based businesses.
Bank Saderat has consistently prioritized justice-oriented policies and support for middle and low-income citizens. By leveraging its extensive nationwide branch network and deep experience, the bank reaffirms its commitment to standing with the people, particularly vulnerable groups. With fresh planning already underway, the bank has pledged to continue and expand the provision of these supportive facilities with increased speed and scope in the second half of the year.
