Title: Social Security Organization Nears Completion of Pension Adjustments, Sets Deadline for High-Income Retirees
Tehran – The Social Security Organization has announced that the final settlement of pension adjustments and annual salary increases, retroactive to the start of the current Iranian year (March 2024), is in its final stages, with a clear deadline now set for the remaining beneficiary groups.
Payments Concluded for Majority of Pensioners
According to the official announcement, the process has been fully completed for two key groups. Retirees whose total pension and benefits do not exceed 20 million tomans, as well as all disability pensioners, have already received their adjustments. This payment was successfully processed in the month of Shahrivar (August-September).
Final Stage for High-Income Retirees and Survivors
The third and final phase of payments, which covers retirees with a total income above 20 million tomans and survivor pensioners, has experienced a delay. To address this, the Social Security Organization has established a definitive timeline, committing to settle all outstanding payments for this group by October 6, 2024 (15 Mehr 1404).
An official from the Kermanshah provincial Social Security office clarified that while the organization has no outstanding debts to the lower-income pensioners and survivors, the delay for the high-income group is due to liquidity management strategies. The scheduled payment by mid-autumn is part of a structured plan to manage resources efficiently without disrupting the electronic payment systems.
Clarification on Child Benefits and Digital Services
The organization also moved to clarify reports regarding child benefits for some survivors, stating that these rights have not been revoked. For survivors with children over 18 years of age, the requirement is to complete a commitment form via the non-attendance services portal (es.tamin.ir
) by the October 6th deadline to ensure continued eligibility.
Pensioners are encouraged to track their payment status and access their pay slips through the official non-attendance service website, es.tamin.ir
, or the “Tamin Man” application. This digital initiative aims to provide swift access to information and prevent overloading the organization’s communication centers.
The phased payment approach, as explained by experts, is a standard procedure for large-scale financial adjustments, ensuring system stability and the orderly distribution of funds to millions of beneficiaries across the country.
