Iranian Retirees See Second Wave of Pension Adjustments Implemented
In a significant move to enhance social welfare, Iran’s Social Security Organization has announced the successful rollout of the second phase of its pension adjustment and arrears payment plan. This initiative directly benefits the nation’s retirees and pensioners, fulfilling a key governmental commitment to this segment of the population.
The organization, following up on its prior announcement from September 3rd, confirmed that the disbursements are proceeding as scheduled. The second wave of payments is now being processed concurrently with the regular September pension payments for all beneficiaries.
A third and final phase of payments is also detailed in the plan. This installment is designated for retirees whose total monthly pension and benefits exceed 20 million tomans and is scheduled to be distributed after the completion of the September payments.
To ensure the stability of its electronic systems during the high-traffic period at the month’s end and considering national internet infrastructure, the organization has advised pensioners that accessing pay slips via the Es.tamin.ir portal or the “Tamin Man” mobile application will be available from the start of the Iranian month of Mehr (September 22nd).
The first phase of this payment schedule was successfully completed on September 3rd for all retirees with total benefits up to 20 million tomans and for all disabled pensioners. This structured approach underscores the government’s methodical and dedicated effort to efficiently deliver on its promises to its retired citizens.
