Title: New Social Security Loan Program for Retirees Opens with Expanded Benefits
A significant new loan initiative for Social Security retirees has been launched, offering enhanced financial support with a streamlined registration process. A senior official from the High Council of Retirees has confirmed the opening of a one-week registration window for this program.
Limited-Time Registration Window Opens
According to Parviz Ahmadi Panjaki, a board member of the High Council of Social Security Retirees, a new registration phase is now active. This phase allocates a quota for 30,000 retirees, with registration processes being carried out through retiree associations across the country.
“The registration opportunity for the 50 million Tomans loan is currently limited to one week,” Panjaki stated. He added that eligible retirees who have registered or are in the process will receive confirmation via SMS, with the loan amounts to be deposited into their accounts shortly.
Eligibility and Streamlined Process
The loan conditions are designed to be accessible while ensuring the support reaches those who need it most. Key requirements include:
- Holding a valid membership card from a Retirees Association.
- Providing a mobile phone number registered in the applicant’s name.
- Receiving a pension through the Bank Refah.
- Priority is given to retirees who have not previously received any retirement loans.
- For new retirees, a minimum of two years must have passed since their retirement date.
Officials have emphasized that individuals who registered between 2020 and 2023 do not need to re-apply, as the system is designed to streamline the process for previous applicants.
Enhanced Loan Ceiling for 2024
A key development this year is the increase in the loan ceiling from 30 million to 50 million Tomans. The loan will be repaid in 24 monthly installments, deducted directly from the retiree’s pension. This measure is part of ongoing efforts to improve the living standards of retirees.
Special Provisions for Retirees with Critical Illnesses
In a dedicated move to support vulnerable groups, the program includes special provisions for retirees with critical illnesses. A separate 50 million Tomans loan has been designated for individuals with conditions such as advanced diabetes, MS, cancer, and hemophilia.
This financial facility is specifically designed to help cover high treatment and medication costs. Official registration for this specific loan is scheduled to begin in the coming week, with further details to be published on the official websites of the Retirees Association and the Social Security Organization.
With the official sources confirming that the disbursement of these new facilities will be completed by late autumn, eligible retirees are encouraged to complete their registration promptly to ensure timely processing.
