Title: Retirees’ August Pension Payments Begin This Weekend – Check Your Scheduled Date
New Payment Schedule for Retirees Takes Effect
Starting this weekend, retirees under Iran’s Social Security Organization will receive their August pensions in a condensed three-day window—August 29, 30, and 31—marking a shift from last year’s phased alphabetical distribution system.
The adjustment aims to streamline transactions and improve coordination with the national banking network, ensuring faster and more efficient disbursements. Government and military retirees will receive their payments on August 30 and 31, respectively.
Commitment to Retirees’ Financial Rights
Dr. Oghani Arani, Deputy of Management and Resource Development at the Civil Servants Pension Fund, confirmed that the second phase of pension adjustments for retired teachers from 2021 will also be processed alongside August salaries.
“Through close collaboration with the Plan and Budget Organization, the necessary funds have been allocated to settle these dues by the end of August,” he stated, emphasizing the government’s dedication to addressing retirees’ financial concerns.
Pending Payments and Future Steps
While the new schedule accelerates pension distribution, some retirees still await outstanding payments from earlier this year, including adjustments delayed since March. Authorities assure that these arrears will be resolved by the end of August, as pledged by Minister of Labor, Cooperatives, and Social Welfare Dr. Ahmad Meydari.
The government remains focused on harmonizing pension policies and reducing gaps between retirees’ benefits and active workers’ wages, with further phases of equity adjustments expected in the coming months.
What Retirees Should Know
