Iranian Government Announces New 50 Million Toman Loan Facility for Retirees
In a move to support the economic welfare of its retired community, a new financial initiative has been officially announced, offering a substantial loan of 50 million tomans to eligible retirees. The program, which features special benefits, is designed to provide targeted financial assistance.
Eligibility and Registration Requirements
To qualify for this new loan, applicants must meet specific criteria aimed at ensuring the support reaches its intended recipients. Key requirements include:
- Possession of a valid membership card from the Retirees Association.
- A mobile phone number registered in the applicant’s own name.
- Receipt of a regular pension through the Bank Refah Kargaran.
Priority Given to First-Time Applicants
In line with the program’s goal of expanding financial inclusion, priority for the loan disbursement will be given to retirees who have not previously benefited from similar loan facilities. Consequently, individuals who have already received loans of 12, 20, or 30 million tomans in the past will not be eligible for this new round of funding.
Streamlined Process for Recent Registrants
The administration of the program has been designed with efficiency in mind. Retirees who have already registered between the years 2020 and 2023 are not required to re-apply, as their information will be considered for this phase until the end of the current Iranian calendar period.
Furthermore, the new guidelines specify that only new retirees, for whom a minimum of two years have passed since their official retirement date, are permitted to register during this current phase. This structured approach ensures the systematic and orderly distribution of financial resources.
