Title: Second Installment of Retired Educators’ Bonus to Be Paid Soon, Minister Confirms
Introduction
In a move underscoring the government’s commitment to its workforce, the Minister of Education has announced that the second installment of the end-of-service bonus for retired teachers will be disbursed shortly. This development addresses the concerns of educators who completed their service in the past year and highlights the administration’s focus on supporting the educational community.
Addressing Retiree Concerns
The announcement comes in response to inquiries from a segment of the 40,000 teachers who retired in the current Iranian year (1403). Some of these retirees had formally registered their concerns about the delay in receiving the full bonus through an official state platform, noting the impact of economic conditions on the value of the pending payment.
Minister’s Assurance on Timely Payment
Education Minister Alireza Kazemi provided the update on the payment schedule during a public event in Qods County. He confirmed that the first segment of the bonus was successfully paid before the start of the Iranian month of Shahrivar and gave assurances that the remaining installment would follow soon. “We will soon pay the second part of it, God willing,” the Minister stated, expressing confidence in the process.
Education: A Government Priority
Minister Kazemi further emphasized the high priority accorded to the education sector by the current administration. “Today, education is the first priority of the government,” he remarked. He called on those within the education system to recognize this focused attention and to work collaboratively to ensure continued positive developments for the country’s schools and educators.
This planned payment is seen as a key part of the government’s broader policy to honor its commitments to public servants and strengthen the national education infrastructure.
