Rewritten Title: Administrative Delay Impacts Retiree Healthcare Services; Officials Pledge Swift Resolution
Article:
A temporary administrative delay in the processing of supplementary health insurance payments is currently affecting some retirees, leading to interruptions in specific clinic services. Officials have acknowledged the issue and are actively working to resolve the matter promptly.
The Core of the Issue
According to Ali-Akbar Eivazi, Secretary of the Tehran Social Security Retirees Association, a procedural delay has occurred for a period of seven months. While the Social Security Organization has continued to deduct the standard premium for supplementary insurance from retirees’ monthly pensions, the transfer of these funds to the service provider, “Atiesazaan,” has been temporarily held up.
This delay has resulted in a situation where some retirees, upon visiting healthcare centers, are being informed that services under their supplementary insurance plan are temporarily unavailable due to the outstanding transfer.
Seeking a Swift Solution
Eivazi emphasized that his association has been in continuous communication with the Social Security Organization to find a solution. The primary goals are to restore uninterrupted healthcare services for retirees and to address the financial reconciliations stemming from the delay.
He noted that the supplementary insurance is a popular option among retirees, chosen voluntarily to complement the universal base coverage provided by the state. This base coverage ensures access to essential medical care for all pensioners. The supplementary plan is an additional layer for those seeking expanded services, funded by the deductions from their own pensions.
A Priority for Resolution
The well-being of retirees is a key social priority. The relevant authorities are treating this administrative matter with urgency to ensure that all contractual healthcare services are restored without further delay. The focus remains on safeguarding the entitlements of retirees and ensuring they receive the full benefits they are owed.
