Title: Social Security Pensioners Express Concerns Over Delayed Payments and Retirement Benefits
Pensioners Voice Frustration Over Payment Delays
Retirees under Iran’s Social Security Organization have raised concerns over persistent delays in receiving their pension payments. Many have criticized the lack of clarity regarding the exact timeline for disbursing overdue benefits from earlier this year.
Workers who retired after decades of service say their financial stability has been disrupted due to payment delays. One retiree, Seyed Ahmad Hosseini, shared his frustration: “After 35 years of work, my living conditions worsen yearly. If we were late paying insurance premiums, we faced penalties—yet now, five months into the year, our overdue payments remain unresolved.”
August Salary Slips Yet to Be Issued
While pension payments for civil and military retirees were processed by the end of July, Social Security pensioners are still awaiting their August salary slips. Previously, payments began by the 20th of each month, but recent delays have caused distress among beneficiaries.
Digital Access to Pension Slips
To streamline transparency and reduce in-person visits, retirees can access their salary slips through dedicated online portals:
- Social Security Pensioners: es.tamin.ir or the “Tamin Man” app
- Civil Pensioners: cspf.ir (Civil Servants Pension Fund)
- Military Pensioners: SATA system (Armed Forces retirees)
Officials have assured that any discrepancies in payment adjustments will be resolved promptly.
Calls for Accountability
Pensioners demand clarity on whether delayed payments will include compensation for inflation-related losses. “If we could buy a 10kg bag of rice with 2 million tomans before, now even 3 million isn’t enough—is this justice?” questioned Hosseini.
The Social Security Organization has emphasized its commitment to digital transformation to improve service efficiency, though retirees urge faster resolutions to payment delays.
This report highlights pensioners’ concerns while acknowledging ongoing efforts to enhance retirement benefit systems.
