Iran’s Social Security Organization Launches Digital Service for Citizens
In a significant step to modernize public services, Iran’s Social Security Organization has unveiled a new online platform that allows citizens to access and print their insurance records without the need for an in-person visit. This initiative is part of a broader national strategy to enhance administrative efficiency and citizen convenience through digital transformation.
A Leap in E-Governance
The newly enhanced service enables insured individuals to review their work history, broken down by year, month, and day, through a secure online portal. Experts hail this development as a crucial move in expanding Iran’s electronic service infrastructure, providing greater transparency and accuracy for millions of citizens managing their social security benefits.
How to Access the Service
To use this service, insured individuals must:
- Visit the official Social Security website.
- Enter their national identification code.
- Select their mobile operator and register their phone number.
A key requirement is that the mobile number must be registered under the insured person’s own name. If the number is registered to someone else, account activation will require a one-time, in-person visit to a local Social Security branch.
Key Benefits of the Digital Shift
The primary advantages of this online system include:
- Time Efficiency: Drastically reduces the need for physical visits to offices.
- Instant Access: Provides quick and easy access to insurance history.
- Enhanced Transparency: Increases the clarity and precision of insurance data for users.
Multiple Avenues for Inquiry
The Social Security Organization has provided several methods for citizens to check their records, catering to different levels of technological access:
Non-Attendance Service Portal (es.tamin.ir): The most comprehensive and widely used method. After registration and identity verification, users can view full payment histories, insured days, and employer details.
“Tamin Man” Mobile App: Available for Android and iOS, this application offers over 53 services, including record checks, from anywhere at any time.
USSD Code (#14204): A simple code that can be dialed from any mobile phone, without an internet connection, to receive general insurance information. However, it does not provide detailed records.
In-Person Branch Visit: While the organization encourages the use of digital methods, citizens can still obtain officially printed records by visiting branch offices with their identification documents.
This multi-channel approach ensures that all citizens, regardless of their digital proficiency, can access their vital social security information, underscoring the government’s commitment to inclusive service delivery. Officials recommend that individuals review their records at least every six months to ensure accuracy and safeguard their future retirement and pension rights.
