Star Power Aligns with Social Responsibility: Artists and Cultural Figures Meet with Guidance Foundation
TEHRAN – In a significant gathering focused on social and cultural development, a group of Iran’s prominent artists and cultural figures met with officials from the Guidance Foundation (the Headquarters for Enjoining Good and Forbidding Evil) to discuss their influential role in national social responsibilities.
A Collaborative Dialogue on Culture and Society
The meeting, titled “Examining Influential Strata in the Fulfillment of Social Responsibilities,” was attended by Mohammad Reza Mir Shamasi, Deputy for Social Affairs and Public Advocacy of the Foundation. The session served as a platform for open dialogue between the institution and the artistic community.
The guest list featured a wide array of well-known personalities from cinema, television, and the arts, including Elham Charkhteh, Shahid Ahmadloo, Masoud Atiabi, and Sasan Ghajar, among many others.
Harnessing Art for Ethical Promotion
A central theme of the discussion was the powerful role of art and education in shaping public perception and promoting ethical and religious values. The attending artists shared their views on how culture acts as the “breathable air of society,” echoing the guidance of the Supreme Leader on the foundational role of a healthy culture in societal well-being.
Participants emphasized that improper conduct by a few individuals should not lead to public misunderstanding of the Foundation’s core mission. They stressed the necessity for precise and professional training for those involved in public guidance to ensure its positive societal impact.
Proposing Innovative Cultural Projects
The artists put forward concrete proposals for collaboration, suggesting the use of innovative media formats such as short films, social documentaries, and other creative content to effectively convey cultural messages. A key point of agreement was the need for audience awareness, correct narration of social realities, and the use of simple, understandable language for the general public.
The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to sustained cooperation. Both artists and Foundation officials believe that such partnerships can lead to the production of valuable artistic works, elevate the discourse around promoting good, and significantly increase the social influence of this important ethical imperative.
