Title: Landmark Housing Initiative: Over 260,000 Tenants Receive Financial Support
In a significant move to support tenants, official data reveals a major national program has disbursed substantial financial aid, underscoring the government’s commitment to housing welfare.
Substantial Funds Allocated
According to official statistics from the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, 20 banks and financial institutions have collectively paid out over 50,230 billion Tomans in rental deposit loans as of the first of Azar 1404 (late November 2025). This large-scale allocation highlights the program’s role as a cornerstone of social support for citizens.
Widespread Applicant Processing
The initiative has seen extensive engagement nationwide. Statistics indicate that 760,763 tenants have been introduced to banks to receive these loans. Of this number, a significant 77,071 applicants were successfully accepted within just the first eight months of the current Iranian year, demonstrating the program’s active and ongoing implementation.
Direct Aid to Households
The most telling figure is the direct support provided to families. To date, a total of 262,987 individual rental deposit loans have been successfully paid out to tenants across the country. This direct financial injection provides crucial relief and stability for hundreds of thousands of households.
The report also noted that while the program has seen widespread participation from most agent banks, the Agricultural Bank has not yet registered any performance in this specific initiative, with only one request being referred to it.
