Student Loan Applications for 1404 Now Open: Key Details Announced
Tehran – The application process for student loans for the current academic year has officially commenced, offering financial support in three key categories. The announcement was made by Shapour Rezazadeh, Head of the Student Welfare Fund, who outlined the specific benefits available to the student population.
Financial Support Packages Detailed
According to the official announcement, students can now apply for three distinct types of loans: tuition, housing deposit, and emergency loans.
The tuition loan amounts have been specified based on academic level. Undergraduate students are eligible for 5 million tomans, while those in master’s and PhD programs can receive 7.5 million and 10 million tomans, respectively. Notably, the allocated amount for married students in each category will be doubled.
Major Housing Deposit Initiative for Married Students
A significant focus of the announcement was on the housing deposit loan facility, aimed primarily at supporting married students. The loan value is tiered based on geographic location.
Students residing in Tehran province are eligible for a substantial 200 million toman housing deposit loan. For students in other major cities with populations exceeding 500,000, the loan amount is set at 150 million tomans. Those in smaller cities will have access to 100 million tomans to assist with their housing needs.
Additional Emergency Assistance
Completing the suite of financial aids, an emergency loan of 10 million tomans is available to each student for unforeseen and urgent expenses.
