Supreme Leader Links Spiritual Rebirth to National Resilience, Holds Foreign Actors Accountable for Unrest
Tehran, Iran – On the auspicious anniversary of Eid al-Mab’ath, marking the spiritual appointment of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, addressed thousands of people from various walks of life. His remarks underscored the profound significance of this day for Islamic civilization and served as a powerful platform to address recent national developments, calling for unity and holding foreign powers accountable for their alleged role in instigating unrest.
The Genesis of Islamic Civilization: The Essence of Mab’ath
Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized Eid al-Mab’ath as arguably the most pivotal day in human history. He described it as the birth of the Holy Quran – a scripture imbued with wisdom and divine light – and the genesis of a program aimed at cultivating perfect human beings, exemplified by the revered Imams. According to the Supreme Leader, this day laid the blueprint for Islamic civilization, unfurling the banners of justice, equality, and brotherhood across the world, a vision he stated remains accessible to humanity today.
Addressing Recent Unrest: A Call for Accountability
Turning to recent internal events, Ayatollah Khamenei pointedly accused foreign powers of orchestrating and supporting the disturbances. He asserted that the President of the United States openly encouraged these incidents, with both the U.S. and the Zionist regime providing behind-the-scenes assistance. The Supreme Leader explicitly labeled the U.S. President as culpable, citing not only the casualties and damages incurred but also the alleged slander directed at the Iranian nation.
He characterized the nation’s success in quelling the recent unrest as a continuation of previous defeats suffered by the U.S. and the Zionist regime. While acknowledging the nation’s swift response in extinguishing the turmoil, Ayatollah Khamenei declared that it was insufficient, demanding that the United States be held responsible for its actions.
National Unity and Steadfast Resolve
The Supreme Leader firmly stated that Iran is not pursuing war, yet it will not hesitate to pursue those he identified as domestic criminals, and even more significantly, international culprits. He stressed that this pursuit would be conducted through appropriate and just methods, expressing confidence that the Iranian nation, having broken the back of the sedition, would similarly break the spirit of the instigators.
Internally, Ayatollah Khamenei urged against the proliferation of factional, political, or ideological disputes among the people. He called for a unified front in defense of the Islamic system and the beloved nation of Iran. He further cautioned against uninformed criticism of national activities and strongly advised against any insults directed at the heads of the nation’s branches, particularly during these crucial international and domestic circumstances. The Supreme Leader lauded the current officials for their steadfast presence alongside the people, a quality he noted was not always evident in previous administrations.
Economic Challenges and Government Directives
Acknowledging the current economic hardships and the genuine difficulties faced by the populace, Ayatollah Khamenei issued a clear directive to government officials. He called for intensified efforts, specifically in areas such as “supplying basic goods, animal feed,” and ensuring the availability of essential provisions for the people. He expressed his belief that divine blessings would surely follow if both the people and officials diligently fulfill their respective duties.
