Iranian Educators to Receive 2 Million Tomans Back-to-School Welfare Grant via ‘Sepas Card’
In a significant move to support the nation’s educators, a substantial welfare grant has been approved for teachers and education staff coinciding with the new school year. The initiative, a collaboration between the Ministry of Education and Bank Saderat Iran, underscores the ongoing commitment to enhancing the welfare of the country’s cultural and educational workforce.
Key Details of the Grant
The program includes a financial aid package of 2 million tomans, designated as a back-to-school assistance payment. This grant is scheduled for disbursement alongside the regular salary for either the month of Shahrivar or Mehr, ensuring timely support for educators as they prepare for the new academic term. The payment will be inclusive of student-teachers and will be deposited directly through the ‘Sepino’ digital platform.
Introducing the ‘Sepas Card’ for Teachers
Central to this welfare drive is the official unveiling of the ‘Sepas Card’ (Teacher Appreciation Card). - Visit the Bank Saderat Iran website at www.bsi.ir.
- Download and install the latest version of the ‘Sepino’ application.
- Register a request for the ‘Sepas Card’ within the app.
Benefits and Features
The Sepas Card offers a suite of advantages tailored for educators, including:
- A dedicated bank account for ministry-introduced cultural staff.
- The capability for credit purchases via the Sepino app.
- Access to exclusive discounts through the app’s ‘Discount City’ feature.
- Interest-free installment repayment plans, conveniently deducted from salary over a three-month period.
- Streamlined access to special facilities without the need for in-person branch visits.
Bank Saderat Iran has announced that from the end of Farvardin 1404 (mid-April 2025), the specialized services of the Sepas Card will be provided centrally and remotely. This development is aimed at delivering faster and more efficient services to the nation’s educators, facilitating access to financial tools from anywhere.
This comprehensive scheme represents a pivotal step in elevating the living standards and financial ease of Iran’s teachers and cultural figures, ensuring they have improved access to credit facilities and simpler purchasing options.
