Iran Advances Comprehensive Teacher Ranking and Employment Initiatives
In a significant administrative development, Iran’s education sector is moving forward with the systematic implementation of its national teacher ranking system. The head of the Human Resources Planning and Administrative Affairs Center, Ali Bagherzadeh, has announced substantial progress in several key areas, emphasizing transparency and legal adherence.
A Year of Transparent Recruitment
Addressing a review meeting of the center’s performance, Bagherzadeh highlighted the challenges faced due to the high volume of applications and visits. He firmly stated that the employment process for the current year was conducted with “complete transparency and integrity,” setting a positive tone for the government’s educational administration.
Massive Scale of Teacher Ranking Process
Detailing the scope of the efforts, Bagherzadeh reported that case files for over 420,000 individuals have been processed in relation to the ranking system. As a result of this large-scale undertaking, more than 100,000 newly employed personnel have been officially ranked in accordance with the national law.
Acknowledging Smooth Administrative Operations
The official also provided a report on the process for selecting exemplary teachers, noting that more than 600,000 individuals participated. He underscored that this significant procedure was completed “without any objections and with full integrity.” Furthermore, he expressed gratitude for the management of teacher transfers, revealing that from 130,000 applicants, approvals were granted for approximately 70%, all while maintaining human resource balance.
Addressing Human Resource Challenges
Despite acknowledged shortages in human resources, Bagherzadeh pointed to effective management of needs and inventory, which has resolved staffing requirements for the majority of regions. He also cited the connection of facility codes to organizational units as a new achievement that has contributed to solving existing problems.
A Forward-Looking Mandate
Concluding the meeting, Bagherzadeh stressed the paramount importance of implementing the law, affirming that the center must strictly observe legal and ethical principles. He called on his colleagues to review the actions of the past academic year and utilize the gained experiences to improve future performance, aiming to encounter fewer challenges in upcoming planning and execution cycles.
