Tehran’s Esteghlal FC Bolsters Squad with Strategic Signings Ahead of New Season
In a significant move demonstrating ambitious planning for the upcoming season, Tehran’s premier football club, Esteghlal FC, has successfully finalized agreements to secure two high-profile players. The club’s management has been actively engaged in the summer transfer window to seriously strengthen its lineup for the Persian Gulf Pro League.
Key Agreements Reached
According to club officials, Esteghlal has reached a final agreement with midfielder Moussa Djempou. Ali Tajernia, the head of the club’s board of directors, confirmed that only the medical examination for the player remains pending, which is scheduled to take place in either Dubai or Istanbul. Tajernia emphasized the efficiency of the deal, noting that no transfer fee was required to acquire Djempou.
In a parallel development, the club’s management has also secured a deal with Turkish side Kayserispor for the loan signing of attacking midfielder Ali Karimi. The agreement positions Karimi to become a pivotal part of Esteghlal’s midfield strategy in the coming season.
Substantial Investment in Talent
Further underscoring their commitment to a powerful comeback, the club has committed to a substantial investment for defender Yaser Asani. Tajernia confirmed that all necessary agreements are in place, with Esteghlal committing to pay a one-million-euro transfer fee to his former Korean club as requested by the team’s head coach. Asani is expected to officially join the squad next week.
These strategic acquisitions signal a clear intent from Esteghlal’s directors to build a highly competitive and reinforced team, aiming for a strong performance in the domestic league and other competitions. The active participation in the transfer market reflects the club’s focused strategy and dedication to achieving its sporting objectives.
