Tehran Braces for Mixed Weather Conditions: Dust and Isolated Showers Forecast
The General Department of Meteorology for Tehran Province has forecast weather patterns similar to recent days, predicting evening winds and the potential for dust storms in the southern and western halves of the province. The forecast also indicates the possibility of isolated precipitation in the elevated regions of Tehran today.
During this period, relatively strong to severe winds are expected at times in parts of the southern and western regions of the province. There is also a possibility of dust being transported from neighboring provinces, which is anticipated to lead to a reduction in air quality.
In the province’s highlands, particularly on Thursday, an increase in cloud cover and scattered showers is predicted. Furthermore, in the afternoon and evening hours within high-traffic urban and industrial zones, an increase in the concentration of the pollutant ozone (O₃) and fine particulate matter (PM₂.₅) is likely.
Weekend Outlook: Clear Skies and Wind
The forecast for Tehran on Friday indicates clear skies with increasing winds in the afternoon. Minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to be 25 and 36 degrees Celsius, respectively. A similar pattern is predicted for Saturday: clear skies in the afternoon with increasing winds and temperatures ranging from a minimum of 25°C to a maximum of 36°C.
Meteorological forecasts maintain an accuracy rate of approximately 80 percent for a one-week period.
