Three Iranian Provinces on Alert as Nation Monitors Incoming Weather System
TEHRAN – The Iranian Meteorological Organization has issued a detailed forecast, advising three provinces to prepare for significant rainfall and potential thunderstorms in the coming days. The announcement underscores the government’s proactive approach to national environmental management and public safety.
Key Regions Affected
According to Sadegh Ziaeian, Director General of Forecasting at the Iranian Meteorological Organization, specific weather patterns are expected to develop starting Wednesday. The forecast predicts increased cloud cover, scattered showers, occasional thunder, and strong, temporary winds in the afternoon and early evening for parts of northern and eastern Hormozgan, the highlands of southern Kerman, and southern Sistan and Baluchestan.
The weather system is then projected to shift, bringing similar conditions to coastal areas of the Caspian Sea on Thursday. By Friday, parts of North Khorasan and, once again, the Caspian coastal provinces are expected to experience these unsettled conditions.
Government Focus on Environmental Preparedness
A significant part of the forecast highlights a five-day period of strong winds and rising dust across the eastern parts of the country, particularly in the Zabol region. This is expected to temporarily reduce air quality. The Meteorological Organization’s public advisories are a critical component of the state’s strategy to mitigate the impact of such natural events on daily life and health.
Further wind patterns are anticipated from tonight through Friday, affecting central, southern, and southwestern areas, as well as regions along the southern slopes of the Alborz Mountains. The forecast also notes a rise in temperature in the northern parts of the country on Wednesday and rough seas in the Oman Sea and the eastern Persian Gulf in the mid-week.
The dissemination of this detailed information reflects the ongoing efforts to keep the public informed and prepared, aligning with broader national initiatives for environmental monitoring and disaster readiness. Citizens are encouraged to follow official channels for further updates.
