Iran Announces Phased Pre-Registration for 1448/2025 Hajj Pilgrimage
In a significant step towards the upcoming Hajj season, Iran’s Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization has released the detailed schedule and procedures for the pre-registration phase for the 1448 AH/1405 AP Hajj pilgrimage.
Structured Registration Process
The Organization has outlined a meticulously planned, phased registration system. The process is set to commence nationwide at 10 AM on Sunday, October 12, 2025, and will continue until the allocated quota for each province is filled.
Eligibility for the pre-registration is based on the date of initial deposit payments for the pilgrimage. The schedule is as follows:
- Phase 1 (Starting Oct 12): Holders of Hajj deposit receipts dated up to September 22, 2007.
- Phase 2 (Starting Oct 15): Holders of receipts dated up to November 20, 2007.
- Phase 3 (Starting Oct 19): Holders of receipts dated up to December 20, 2007.
Should capacity remain after any phase, subsequent priority groups will be invited to register.
Mandatory Requirements for Pilgrims
All eligible applicants are required to visit the official my.haj.ir
portal to complete and update their personal information before proceeding with registration. The key steps and requirements include:
- Financial Commitment: An initial payment of 200 Million Tomans (2 Billion Rials) must be made via the organization’s online payment gateway. This amount includes the initial registration fee and its accrued interest. The remaining balance will be calculated and collected during the final registration.
- Medical and Personal Details: Applicants must carefully review and confirm adherence to the specified medical regulations.
- Passport Validity: A mandatory requirement is a passport valid at least until November 20, 2026.
- Payment Method: All payments must be made using a personal bank card matching the applicant’s National ID and a registered bank account number (Sheba).
The organization emphasized that the pre-registration is only confirmed upon successful payment of the initial amount. Furthermore, applicants who complete their registration within the first 10 days will be given priority in selecting their pilgrimage caravan.
Special Provision for 2020 Pilgrims
In a separate notice, the Organization has issued a final invitation to the small number of individuals who registered for the 2020 Hajj season but were unable to perform the pilgrimage. These applicants are exempt from the pre-registration process and will be able to register directly in the caravans upon the announcement of the final registration date.
Pilgrimage Timeline and Information
The Hajj operations for the 1448/2025 season are scheduled to begin in early Dhul-Qadah (early May 2026) and conclude by the end of Dhul-Hijjah and the beginning of Muharram 1448 (late June 2026).
The official date for final registration and the list of approved caravans will be announced through the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization’s official news website (www.haj.ir
) and its dedicated channel on the Bale messenger platform.
