In a significant move to honor its retired community, Iran’s State Pension Fund has announced the winners of a special lottery, granting ten fortunate retirees and veterans pilgrimage trips to Mashhad and leisure trips to Kish Island. This initiative underscores the Fund’s ongoing commitment to improving the welfare and quality of life for its members.
Lucky Winners Announced
The lottery, which saw participation from 3,953 individuals, selected ten winners from the cities of Rasht, Tehran, Shiraz, and Sari. Each winner will have the opportunity to be accompanied by two family members on their journeys. The winners are: Zia Roudiani, Seyed Hamid Mousavi Faraz, Seyed Mahmoud Ebrahimi Taghi, Taghi Taghiloo, Marzieh Salarian, Ali-Akbar Haji-Nasiri, Abdolmotaleb Bidarlord, Abdo-lahed Moini, Gholamali Mohammadi Daniali, and Aghdas Jafari.
The Welfare Administration for Retirees congratulated the winners, stating that this event is part of the broader welfare and facilitative policies of the State Pension Fund. The core objectives are to enhance livelihood standards, increase purchasing power, and provide easy access to high-quality essential household goods for the large retiree community.
A Gesture of Gratitude from the Private Sector
The lottery was organized with the participation of “Shahr Home Appliances” company as a gesture of appreciation for the significant support from retirees for its products. The company emphasized the importance of honoring the elderly and veterans of Iranian society, hoping the event would create lasting, joyful memories for the winners and their families. Further details and notification procedures for the winners will be announced through the company’s official channels.
Digital Transformation Eases Access for Retirees
In a related development signaling a major stride in service efficiency, the State Pension Fund has reported a 17% decrease in incoming calls to its beneficiary contact center for the month of Shahrivar 1404 (August-September 2025).
Amirhossein Ghazvini, Director General of the Office for Planning and Organizational Transformation at the Fund, attributed this positive trend to the expansion of non-attendance services. “The launch of a dedicated AI-powered chatbot for pensioners in Mordad (July-August), along with the resolution of certain technical issues in areas like pension adjustment and treatment, has played an effective role in reducing calls,” Ghazvini stated.
He highlighted the success of the “Saba” application, which now boasts over one million active installations. The app provides diverse services, including accessing pension slips and decrees, financial and welfare services, bill payments, an educational network, podcasts, and information on installment purchase plans. “Our goal is for all Fund services to be accessible through the Saba app in the future,” Ghazvini added.
Increased Satisfaction and Evolving Needs
The quality of service has also seen notable improvement. Based on conducted surveys, 81% of callers rated the performance of the contact center specialists as “excellent,” reflecting enhanced response quality and increased staff expertise.
An analysis of call topics for Shahrivar revealed that the most frequent inquiries concerned supplemental insurance (32.2%), pension payments (29%), loans (18.7%), and welfare services (6.2%). While calls related to payments and welfare services increased, those concerning loans decreased. Alongside phone calls, over 7,400 requests were registered and addressed through voice messages, the app, and the Fund’s website, indicating a strong uptake of its digital and remote services.
Ghazvini concluded by emphasizing the analytical role of the contact center, noting it is not merely a response unit but a crucial hub for receiving feedback, monitoring needs, and providing analytical data to the Fund’s managers. “Our policy is based on respecting retirees and listening carefully to their voices at all stages of service delivery,” he said.
