Title: New Support Package for Iranian Retirees Combines Discounts, Credit, and Rewards
In a significant move to bolster the welfare of its retired community, Iran’s Civil Servants Pension Fund has announced a comprehensive new support initiative. The program, which includes direct financial benefits, substantial discounts, and special rewards, underscores the government’s ongoing commitment to improving retirees’ quality of life.
Enhanced Purchasing Power with New Credit and Discounts
The initiative, effective immediately, provides retirees with a multi-faceted support package. A key component is the availability of a 3 million Toman line of credit for purchases at the Daily Market chain stores. This credit can be repaid over a three-month period without any banking fees, directly increasing retirees’ immediate purchasing power.
Simultaneously, a cooperative agreement between the Pension Fund, Daily Market, and the Iranian Dairy Industries Company (Pegah) grants retirees a special 20% discount on all Pegah dairy products. Officials have confirmed that this discount program will be gradually expanded to include other essential product groups.
Commitment to Retiree Welfare
Hamidreza Sheikhi, Director General of Welfare Services at the Civil Servants Pension Fund, emphasized that these measures are part of a broader strategy. “This action has been taken to help improve the livelihood of retirees and provide them with effective support services,” Sheikhi stated. He added that the collaboration with Daily Market, which began earlier this year, will continue to develop diverse support plans and purchasing facilities for the retired community.
Celebrating Retirees with Special Rewards
In a related event to mark Senior Citizens’ Week, the Pension Fund, in partnership with the “Shahr-e Lavazem Khaneghi” company, held a special lottery for retirees who had utilized the cooperative services. The draw, which saw participation from nearly 4,000 individuals, resulted in ten lucky winners.
The grand prizes included pilgrimage trips to the holy city of Mashhad and recreational vacations to Kish Island. Each winner was granted the opportunity to be accompanied by two family members, creating a shared experience of joy and celebration. The Welfare Services Department extended its congratulations to the winners, highlighting that such events are designed to foster lasting, happy memories for retirees and their families.
This integrated approach of providing direct financial relief, essential goods discounts, and celebratory rewards reflects a sustained policy focus on honoring and supporting the nation’s retirees.
